New Materials

At Liverpool Plastering and Rendering, as experienced plasterers in Liverpool we still keep up to date with the latest innovations and materials in order to provide our customers with the greatest choice and most informed decision. In the past we have worked on projects using Thistle Dura Finish which is a tougher skim coat than traditional plasters for areas that are more prone to impact damage.

Customers could also be interested in using the new Thistle Magnetic Finish that transforms walls into a magnetic surface enabling photos, magnets etc to be stuck to the wall or section of wall. Magnetic finish can be used as a feature wall in a number of rooms including kitchens or children’s play areas. Due to its unique properties, this material can be costly to use.

As time served plasterers we would be wary of the revised Uni Finish, the plaster you don’t need to P.V.A a surface before using it. In the past Uni finish has been recalled due to technical issues and the idea of not sealing a dusty old surface does not seem natural to experienced local plasterers in Liverpool.
